It seems like, when he’s not shouting obscenities at incapable chefs or judging the produce of Michelin-Star restaurants, Gordon Ramsay appears to spend his time expanding his staggering car collection.

The man’s got taste – not only in his culinary day-job, but also in what he fills up his driveway with. He was recently spotted with his £2.5m+ Aston Martin Valliant in London, which is adorned in an off-white paintjob with subtle red/blue elements. It appears to be the latest addition to his automotive empire, which features 15+ items, ranging from the track-focused BAC Mono, to the pinnacle of grand touring – the Aston Martin DBS SL, and then to his rugged Defender, which featured in the film Spectre, and was the only one which survived the shoot.

We know that the man is a fan of motorsports – at F1 75 live he was cut off for speaking out against the now almost-authoritarian FIA, when he was asked what he thought about their controversial “swearing-ban”, which is a silly idea in itself. As Ramsay said. Not a surprise he’d be in support of swearing in high stress situations.

His collection features 8 Ferraris, most notably a LaFerrari Aperta, one of only 210, featuring a 950hp hybrid system, made up of a V12 paired with a 161hp electric motor. The Aperta therefore features a 0-60 of 3.0s, before it tops out at a teeth-shattering 218mph, and you need new underwear.

To say Ramsay was solely a Ferrari fan would be jumping to conclusions however – his collection also boasts two McLarens – the 675 LT (LT standing for Longtail, as it was modelled after the infamous McLaren F1), and the Senna, named after the fastest Brazilian, and one of the best to ever do it. Widely regarded as one of the best McLarens ever produced, his features a black and yellow colour scheme. Ramsay has been known to take his Senna for a thrashing on tracks such as Brands Hatch.

His more track focused car however has to be his BAC Mono. For the price of £168,000, he didn’t get much in the way of features for his money – there’s not even a windscreen. What there is however, is a 2.5L, 4-cylinder engine, producing about 300hp. Combine that with a weight of 540kg, which is slightly less than the average feather, and the result is a 0-60 of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 170mph, which means you’ll need to change your underwear. Again.

When it comes to celebrity car collections, Ramsay’s has gotta be up there with Atkinson’s. There are few collections like it. By the looks of things, he isn’t stopping anytime soon. The man’s worth £200m, so he’s definitely got some room for some more. Perhaps he’ll buy the new Valhalla.

If I was him, I would.
